About David Hornstein
VFX Compositor
I’ve always been interested in animation and feature films. This motivated me to start my undergraduate program at Kapiolani Community College in the New Media Arts Program. I took a fine arts class to learn more about drawing and design. This convinced me that I wanted to pursue learning more about both traditional and 3D Animation, Modeling, Sculpting and Dynamics. I decided to transfer to SAE Expression College in Emeryville, CA to complete my BFA degree. After I received my BFA, I chose to pursue my MFA in Visual Effects at Academy of Art University to learn more advanced techniques in Compositing and Dynamics. My objectives are to find a VFX jobs that will get me into the right direction and graduated from an accelerated college with a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Effects. My minimal success was hired as a Junior Compositor at FuseFX and worked on Orville and Winning Time: Lakers Dynasty. I really enjoyed working at FuseFX and cooperating with supervisors and compositing artists.
